Nigerians Won’t Be Talking About Insecurity in Four Years — Abbas

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has assured Nigerians that the current administration is committed to ending insecurity across the country within the next four years.

Abbas stated that ongoing reforms, increased security funding, and collaboration among security agencies will yield significant results, restoring peace to communities that have long been plagued by banditry, insurgency, and kidnapping.

“We are confident that in four years’ time, insecurity will no longer dominate our national conversation. Nigeria will be safer, and our people will be free to live and work without fear,” he said.

His remarks come amid recent military offensives in the North and government efforts to improve intelligence gathering and policing nationwide.
