Nigeria’s Oil Production Rises to 1.8 Million Barrels Per Day

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has announced that the country’s oil production has increased from 1 million barrels per day (bpd) to 1.8 million bpd.

Speaking today, the Minister emphasized that the government is working towards achieving a production target of 2.5 million bpd, which would significantly boost revenue and strengthen Nigeria’s economy.

He attributed the growth to recent reforms, improved security in oil-producing regions, and closer collaboration with international oil companies.

“Nigeria is on the path to restoring its full production capacity, and we are determined to meet our target in the nearest future,” Lokpobiri said.

This development comes as global oil prices remain volatile, and Nigeria seeks to consolidate its position as Africa’s leading crude exporter.
