Arteta gives latest injury updates on Ødegaard, Saka and Madueke

Martin Ødegaard



  • Ødegaard has been dealing with a shoulder injury and has missed matches.  
  • Arteta said Ødegaard will be “training with us in the next two days,” suggesting he is close to returning.  






Bukayo Saka



  • Saka is recovering from a hamstring injury.  
  • Despite being substituted around the 60-minute mark in a recent game, Arteta clarified that it wasn’t due to a fresh setback.  
  • He confirmed: “He will be around for the weekend, yes.”  
  • In another press update: “Nothing to report there … he feels good … he will be training the next two days.”  






Noni Madueke



  • Madueke sustained a knee injury during Arsenal’s match vs. Manchester City, forcing him off at half-time.  
  • He is expected to be sidelined for several weeks potentially six to eight weeks  though Arteta said, “It doesn’t look too bad.”  
  • Arteta also noted there’s “no update yet” pending scans and further assessment.  
  • Some media reports suggest the lesion could sideline him for up to two months.
